One Day At A Time
I started this website a year ago with the intention to share our journey of moving back to our hometown in New York and our subsequent plans to build. In that time though, life got busy, settling in took longer than expected, ideas altered and then news came that changed everything.
As some of you may know, my Mom was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Sarcoma. We are still in a whirlwind of emotions as each of us is figuring out a way to process this information while still showing up as spouses, parents, friends and co-workers. As I’m sure you can imagine, it hasn’t been easy.
I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve so the urge to write has been at an all-time high. This blog will not be a chronicle of my Mom’s journey or treatment plan. I deeply respect her desire to keep those details private. It will, however, be a place I share my own experiences as a woman, a daughter, a wife, a mom, a business-owner and a creative. It’s a space I hope to encourage and inspire while remaining authentic and embracing the beauty of life in all of it’s stages.
Here’s to taking one day at a time.
